okay what exactly do we aim for at the end of each year, like a pass mark or something? and whats a GPA, how does it work and whats so important about it. I have no idea. do employers look at the GPA or just the certificate you get at the end of the course? Can screwing up one exam or test ruin everything?

im guessing they do if you come straight out of your undergrad degree and theyll ask about your experience

no but usually an exam is worth a large percentage of the overall mark of that one subject

Generally speaking, you need to pass the exam to pass the unit. This is either due to a hurdle requirement, or due to the exam being worth such a large percentage of the overall final mark.
