Hey guys! Just wondering, does anyone know what exactly is the purpose of the VCE Baccalaureate? Like, I guess it could potentially make your VCE certificate seem more “fancy” but is there a practical purpose (like when applying for courses/unis and stuff). Thanks!
Nope. Just looks kind of cool in your resume and says “I’m a diverse student”. And you get a different shade of blue in your certificate so it looks a little fancier. (I received one of these in the first year they were given out, hence why I know.)
EDIT: Its purpose was to reward and attempt to encourage a more diverse subject range (including one of the "higher level maths" - VCAA's words not mine) and at least 5 U3/4 subjects. IIRC, to receive it, you have to study a LOTE, Maths (either Methods or Spesh) and English (or equivalents; 30+ raw SS, except EAL where 33+ raw SS). This is confirmed with
this document.
