Subject scaling depends on ur score, spec scales like 12 at a raw of say 34, but only 5 at 50 and likewise the scaling from a 20 raw isn't much. So u can never count on it to save you.
But of course, the exam is God. The great equilizer. It is worth (from memory) 66% for spec (correct if i'm wrong), that my friend, is alot. And honestly anything above 50% is pretty good for spec, even if the cohort average was higher. If u don't mind me asking how many spec students in ur cohort? Anyway besides that, ur exam score, and the exam score sof ur cohort may lift your SAC marks up, as well as the exam score significantly contributing to ur SS. So don't let it get you down, all is not lost.
Even assuming ur cohort is eaxctly average, getting above that average means you would prob be able to pull off above 30 for each of those subjects. So adding this to the scaling means your ATAR won't be that bad. A 90 atar is alot, and honestly more of a vanity project, few cources actually need it. Just foccus on how YOU can improve, don't bother on the atar or how others are going, and study like hell for the exam. Go for that goal and u will be fine
But yeah, honestly i don't think ur atar will even be that bad lol, ur scores r pretty good.
I have no idea how many spec students there are in my cohort, but there are 4 classes and probably a little more than 20 people in each class. I would say the competition is quite strong though, I am definitely ranked among the low achievers.
Anyway, I didn't manage to do well enough for unit 4, which is p sad because math has already been my strongest subject and I did even worse for methods for some reason.
I'm putting in all my hope on the exams now so fingers cross I can still reach a 90 atar.
