Hi there,

I just thought I would let you all know that I have completed previous exams for Methods on youtube, with an explanation and working out for each question...

Everyone that has had a look has found them really useful and I have had plenty of positive feedback!

It may get you a few extra marks on your methods exam! Best of luck

at around 59:54 you mention if gradient of L1=tan (30), then gradient of L2=tan(60), yet you dont use the gradient of L2, you only use the gradient of L1, and equate it to both tan 60 and tan 30, and im confused as to why?

You know that the angle between L1 And L2 is 30 degrees...

So the line L1 will make an angle of 30 with the x axis... the line L2 Makes an angle of 60...  and m=tan@...

Therefore m= 1/root(3)...

As you change the values of k, this will swap with L1 Makes an angle of 60 degrees, L2 will make an angle of 30... so the angle between them is 30...

Sketch 2k*x and 1/2k * x.... and change k... you'll see what happens...

I've got other ways I can explain it, so it you're all stuck... let me know

Bit late but just wanted to say thank you so much! I've found the videos so helpful as they provide a breakdown of how to complete questions step by step!!! It truly is so thoughtful that you take the time to create these videos for the benefit of methods (and spesh I've seen) students! Thank you again! ;D
