Seems I was beaten to the punch, but I put a similar tool on my website - which might be a bit easier for everyone to use: http://aidans.org/offers/
A bug I noticed: The script is broken for people with spaces in their last name, and it's interpreting their post code as their course code. Enter 3056 (my post code) into the "Course Code" box, for instance.

Thanks for the heads up. Will fix that now. ;)

To be pedantic, the second code listed can be full fee or CSP. The first code is just the higher preference.

I became a bit bored, so I took the VTAC offers list from the Herald Sun's site and merged it into one big file. It makes it a little easier to search, and you can easily find everyone in your postcode, or everyone that's doing your course. :)

Note that loading up either the HTML file or the Excel 2003 file might make your computer bog down: this is because it's a pretty big list. The Excel file is 24mb, the HTML file is 18mb. Both are in this 1.63mb RAR file. :D

Just to let you know, your data is missing the 'K' and the 'Ci' lists. I've reuploaded my 2008 offers RAR with a new data file containing the additional pages.

Like I said in the other thread, I've updated it once again - now you can specify your postcode and see the people closest to you who got offers for a certain degree. Useful for making new friends :P

Wow you really are smart!

Yeah, it was a bit frustrating scraping the latitude and longitude out of Google Maps - they kept banning me for hammering their servers :P

Thanks to that Combobulator, I was able to make a list of all the offers the people in my class got (my class isn't big). Anyway, if anyone's interested, the most popular instiution was NMIT followed by LaTrobe and RMIT.
