% Below - ATAR Requirement

So I've been meaning to ask this question for a while now. I'm looking to put Bachelor of Business @ Monash as my first preference and the clearly in ATAR is 82.05. It also says 42.59% 'below'. Does that mean that out of the accepted students for the course, approximately 43% of students had an ATAR of below 82.05?

Just wondering, as I'm probably going to just hit the 80 ATAR mark, nothing higher, so just thought I'd ask. Cheers

Yes, it is the percentage of offers made to students with an ATAR below the clearly-in. These would mostly be students with successful SEAS applications, or have completed VCE studies relevant to the course.

This is the wrong attitude to have at this time of the year. How could you have measured that you'll precisely score ~80 and not be able to hit 82?

Yesss. From what I've seen, the below % for Monash degrees often hover around the 30s - in this case, it seems DoTS affected the BBus. It's an alternative entry pathway for those who received a low ATAR (e.g. 48), whereupon after completion DoTS students have second year entry into the degree.
