The mass is irrelevant.

d=1/2 at^2
d=16
t=4
16=16/2 *a
16=8a
a=2

What do you mean by AC and DC questions? Or do you mean just general knowledge?

Yes, sometimes when AC is combined with DC, it is shifted vertically upwards, ie, AC and DC components.
