I think there's a general hate towards the MHS physics department?

Anyways, I found physics enjoyable, it's an easy subject, you can't deny that, like I spent much more time on Chemistry and got a lower study score.
There's a lot against it, like others have said here, but if you look at the alternatives, physics stands up really well.

brightsky, what are you thinking of doing if not physics

Pretty much, and for good reason too.

MHS physics is rediculous:
-make the most boring, pointless excursion (damn CSIRO) compulsory and then charge everybody $20
-give students a unit 3 SAC to complete during the holidays after unit 3 has finished
-book another stupid, boring, pointless excursion day before the English SAC and charge everyone $25
-have some ex-electrical engineering professor devise the most long winded, irrelavent pracs for our SACs
-offer practice exams but then reveal they cost $20 for each unit (real cost $4 for printing)
-they then have the audacity to deny the department is actually making money when it clearly is

dude, at least you guys have a department. my school has about 6 students in physics and we have no excursions, and rarely have experiments. We're pretty much on our own.

I'd actually prefer that tbh.
