lol i bet enwiabe wishes that the site rakes in that much, he could probably retire tommorow.

but actually, how does the ad revenue work- does the site get money when someone clicks on an ad or do the advertisers just pay per views or what?

When I was there in year 9 we were told low end of incomes = 1800 RMB/month = $300 AUD/month = $10/day. :P
Why do I still remember that :(

That's probably a marketing lie just to gain "social responsibility" cred.

That said however, I have nothing against corporations who hire people for $3/day. The very fact that the job is voluntary tells you a lot: the $3/day is better than what they originally had, or they wouldn't have chose to take the job. We can't unrealistically compare their situation to ours.

Or, enwiabe could grow the site like he planned and keep growing it off the back of what he makes whilst simultaneously also making enough money to *not* have to find part-time work through uni. One can dream. :D Until then, I can just tutor, haha.

that used to be med-high income

a while ago [like 5 years] some people were still on 500 RMB/month
