No dramas. These are 2nd year units, but you can take them in either 2nd year or 3rd year.

This.^

Also adding should we sit the GAMSAT in our third and fourth year (if wanting to do it twice)? And does our WAM for our last year (fourth) count towards MMI consideration or is it our third just like a normal BSci course? Thanks  :)

I'm a current Biomed student at Monash so will try my best to help. Although inevitably your best source of information is the Faculty of Medicine of both Monash University and The University of Melbourne.

I don't know if they apply to the double, but the double should still allow you to fulfill the pre-requisites. You will just have to be a lot more careful with first year subject selections as several of the required units need specific Year 1 sequences, e.g. Chem and Bio. I am pretty sure there is a document available on the UoM MD site that specifies which units satisfies their requirements.

If you're going to do a four year degree - without transfer and doing the whole four years - then for WAM calculation through GEMSAS, only the last three years of your degree will count, i.e. Years 2, 3 and 4. You can sit the GAMSAT in your penultimate year and allow it to count for consideration for a Medical degree position. I would advise that yes, you sit in in March of your 3rd year and then again in September (GAMSAT UK), and then if need be, in March of your 4th year.

If you guys have anymore questions just feel free to ask :)

At the risk of sounding totally stupid, will I have to fly to the UK to sit the GAMSAT UK?
