Does Monash have an 'Astronomy club' or anything for people keen on staring into space?

If they don't already, they should have one! It'd be a great idea to give some interested students some access to some of the campus observatories - I'm pretty sure some significant astronomical discoveries have been made by enthusiasts, no?

I did asp2062 last semester..You can see my review of the subject in the relevant section. It's a great unit combining mathematical and conceptual understanding...and also relatively hard...But don't worry..I'd take this unit again for Dr.Andrew Prentice's sense of humour :D

Welcome to ATARNotes!

I heard Prentice retired? I had him for a few lectures for 1021 and he was hilarious.

Thanks for the great review of the subject! I'm passionate about astrophysics and mathematics so I can't wait :P My elder sister already warded me about Dr.Andrew Prentice, half the reason to go to Monash I think haha

Thanks for the welcome! I hope he hasn't, would be very disappointed.
