I wouldn't count on remembering trends and statistics as such, since the questions always vary from year to year. Often trends are relating to the:
-recent policies,
-economic growth,
-inflation,
-employment,
-balance of trade and/or current account,
-net foreign debt,
-terms of trade,
-interest rates.
In saying that, the trends are usually plotted on a graph and you are to analyse them. The policies are the trends you need to remember, for they will ask you which policies (either monetary or budgetary) have been implemented in the past (usually 4 years), and how they have served in the economy.
