Wants and Needs question.

HEY GUYSSSSS!

I was just wondering, you have all your needs to survive: food, shelter, water, clothing.

If you were to go to an expensive restaurant for FOOD then would it be a want? or would it be a need?

assume the person is starving. :D

I would say it is a want. The person doesn't NEED to go and get the foie gras from the resteraunt, they only NEED to go to safeway and get a loaf of homebrand bread and some vegemite. Therefore the resteraunt food is not essential to the person's survival and therefore a luxury.

Havent ever encountered a question like this. But I agree with the previous post. An expensive restaurant is itself a luxury, making it a want, not a need.
