Bach of Commerce v Business

People say that a student who achieves a distinction average in the bach of Business, would be more employable than someone who achieves an average result in the bach of commerce. So why would do people choose commerce over business, seeing as though they're very similar and would be harder to obtain a HD in commerce? (other than majors) say you wanted to transfer into law, it would be easier to obtain a 75% avg in arts than law for example.
