WADA (world anti doping agency) was created in 1999, to protect athletes right to dope-free sport and to protect their health. It is an international organisation and is independent (meaning no bias). They create the prohibited list and are responsible for code acceptance, implementation and compliance.
ASADA (Australia sports anti doping authority) is consistent with the requirements of WADA, it was created in 2006. It is in charge of detection of doping, deterrence of doping through education and enforcing the WADA code.

ATPase is an anaerobic chronic adaptation to the muscular system. ATPase is an enzyme responsible for the rapid break down of ATP, the more ATPase the muscle has, the faster it can breakdown ATP, this is especially important for athletes in short duration, high intensity events.

Hope this helps  :)

thanks heaps!

Venous return is then de-oxygenised blood that is returned to the heart in the veins. Because more blood is being moved towards the working muscles during exercise more blood must be returned to the heart (Venous Return)

Decreasing the intensity which means the body does not work as hard or conducting Aerobic training which would provide chronic adaptations  such as increased lung capacity, increased capillarization etc which would make their body more efficient and therefore increase the rate of energy production/utilization.
Conducting a Warm up increase blood vessel diameter/temperature and supply and use of oxygen.
Hope this helps :)

Good luck for the exam tomorrow everyone!
Remember to keep calm and remember all the work that you have done to prepare for the exam.

Remember to focus on having an optimal level of arousal :)

Hehe :D

Muscular strength: the ability of a muscle to generate a maximum amount of force.
Muscular power: the ability of a muscle to generate a maximum amount of force over the shortest possible time.
