Can a bachelors of science degree get you into medicine?

Hi, just wondering, if I didn't get a high enough ATAR for Bachelors of Biomedicine, could I do a Bachelors of Science degree to get into medicine?

yes, as far as I know, you could do any undergraduate degree and be fine (commerce, arts, design etc)

Can confirm. Melbourne provides some barriers in the form of prereqs, but most other unis don't (in fact I think Melbourne might be the only Uni to have prereqs for postgrad med).
2013-15: BBiomed (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology), UniMelb
2016-20: MD, UniMelb
2019-20: MPH, UniMelb
2021-: GDipBiostat, USyd
