Our teacher just prescribed the A+ notes for physics. Anyone know if there are any good textbooks available in bookstores or if they are not necessary?

The two main textbooks I believe are Heinemann and Jacaranda. But as was pointed out in another thread it should only be used as a consolidation/extra resource. The fact that some schools don't see the need to use one probably suggests this as well! I myself had A+ Notes and Heinemann at my disposal, and never found any need to touch the A+ Notes throughout the year.

At my school, our prescribed textbook was Heinemann, but we never actually used it ever in class - nor did our teacher ever tell us to look at it. Not sure whether it was because I had a different edition, but when I did look through the Heinemann textbook myself, a lot of the content seemed somewhat irrelevant. Although I didn't use A+ Notes, I think it'd be more useful (i'm assuming that it'd have more focus on relevant concepts/info).
