Hi could you please proof read my comparative essay intro and give any feedback? Thanks :)

In spite of the differing contexts, Ransom and Invictus both illustrate that leadership and sacrifice are not mutually exclusive. Malouf and Eastwood both contend that a position of power is not without sacrifice; as seen in Invictus when Mandela chooses forgives those who brutally oppressed him, further straining his relationship with his already estranged daughter. In Ransom, Priam’s coveted title of king, entails masking his true character under a befitting pretense. And achilles, a fearless warrior, is forced to passively watch the blood of his companion, shed.  Both authors successfully express the synonymity of sacrifice and leadership through the themes of family, identity and forgiveness.
