i know there's a results thread now but I feel like this q fits more here;
If you thought you could get about an extra 10% by re-sitting an exam, would you do it?

I understand the logic behind the idea but in practice it usually doesn't work so I'm gonna say no unless you did absolutely putrid in the first putrid in the first exam (like 25% lower than your potential) but if you think you can only do 10% better it's not really worth it

does anyone know for med/dent/optom offers, if second semester grades count? or it is as long you pass your degree (65+ or gpa of 5.5 above) that you fulfill the conditional offer?
2011: Methods [40]  Chemistry [34]
2012: Global Politics [44] Specialist Maths [33] Physics [35] English [38]
ATAR: 97.10

2013-2015: Bachelor of Biomedicine (Neuroscience)  UoM
2017-2020: Doctor of Optometry UoM

For the most part it is just pass I'm pretty sure, although my DDS offer conditions says to maintain your current average.

Hi, does anyone know if it would be easy or difficult to transfer from the Bachelor of Science into the Bachelor of Commerce? Have completed first year with a WAM of ~70. ATAR from 2014 was 98+ . Worried that my first year uni results are not high enough rendering the ATAR worthless  :-\

I actually just emailed them a few days ago about this - they replied that the absolute minimum WAM you should aim for if you want an end of year transfer is 70

Just curious, is that also for Arts > Commerce? Or does that require higher/lower first year grades?

Hey guys, how many level 1 breadth subject are we allowed to do? i've taken 2 level 1 breadth, and I'm planning to take one more. However, i can't seem to find the section in the study plan. Is it because i've taken 3 level 1 electives? Thanks

You can take a maximum of three level one breadths, but you might be allowed less depending on how many other first year subjects you are taking. No more than a total of ten subjects (125 points) may be taken at level 1.
