JMSS YEAR 10 ENTRANCE EXAM 2019 DISCUSSION

I think I got in because I hit their sweet spots,I just looked through their yr 10 course and on it was nanotechnology,which was something I couldn’t shut up about during the 1 on 1 interview. I definitively think that was a huge bonus for me and probably really impressed the interviewer.

Welp, I discussed with their curriculums, like synchrotron, astrophysics and Materials engineering. But i’m still rejected anyway.

Hello guys I got into John Monash Science School, I was the only one in my entire school to get in. I am just wondering. What do we revise for the Maths Methods test?

I think I mostly got in from showing all my hobbies and interests. As well as bringing in a live Queen ant within a test tube which amazed the interviewer.
Plus... anyone knows how many people got to the interview stage? I guess it’s around 400? But not sure.

Well from what I know atleast 200 people get into the interview.

Come on! I estimated it was around 400 or more! Because so many people I know don’t pass the interview.
Btw when the results will be available? Should I ask for my exam results now and ask them the reasons why am I being rejected...

I doubt they will tell us why we got rejected, but we will get our edutest results

They say we’ll get results at term 4 but what happens if we asked NOW

There is an information evening on the 9th of October and I believe everything from subjects to school uniform will be discussed that day. The reception will inform you about it when you go and submit your enrollment documents, an email will be sent around late September for the people who didn’t go there physically

I read the technology requirements for the school and we have to bring a laptop and another form of electronic device(iPad,iPhone,tablet,etc). I’ve got an iPad and is wondering what kind of laptops will you guys bring since I actually don’t have one at home.

Hi Synx. Oh yes, I brought in a live Queen Bull ant what had eggs. I like ants so I wanted to show the interviewer that. I showed all hy hobbies basically. Like quails that I raise in incubator and Electronic Stuff. As well as all my scientific achievements like ICAS distinction or Science mentoring.
