Hi Synx. Oh yes, I brought in a live Queen Bull ant what had eggs. I like ants so I wanted to show the interviewer that. I showed all hy hobbies basically. Like quails that I raise in incubator and Electronic Stuff. As well as all my scientific achievements like ICAS distinction or Science mentoring.

There is an information evening on the 9th of October and I believe everything from subjects to school uniform will be discussed that day. The reception will inform you about it when you go and submit your enrollment documents, an email will be sent around late September for the people who didn’t go there physically

but i did icas science and maths comp every year and got more than distinction
also did the da vinci decathlon in year 7
still got rejected 
so i should bring in stuff next time?!

I didnt bring in anything except certficates, I think the main reason I got in is because of my debating certificates and also because a Victorian finalist public speaking award. Infact i dont even think certificates even matter its more on how you present yourself in the 1 on 1 interview as well as the group interview. Hope you get into JMSS second round buddy!!!

A bit late to this but I got in on a first round offer!! What schools is everyone coming from? And how long will it take you to get to school? For me, I'm coming from Officer SC and it's gonna take me an hour and a half to get to school

i brought in all my school awards (yr 7 dux, 7&8 maths award, participation in various projects), my exchange student certificates and AMC credit. i talked about how im really interested in astrophysics and wanna go on to do that and just sorta explained why i though jmss would be beneficial for me. i also asked questions to show interest in the school

Anyone know when we will receive the information about orientation day, subject selections, methods test ETC? I checked the Compass Online Enrolment but couldn't find any information.

Look, I might be wrong but the JMSS website says "Students entering Year 10 will be required to attend a full orientation day at the school in early December." I think October 9th is the information day.
