Just found an informative website about jobs. They are rated based on: physical demand, work environment, income, stress, Hiring Outlook
its an american website so everything's american haha (click view ratings to view the specific scores, because some might think its based on income, according to it philosopher is ranked higher than a pharmacist)

I guess everyone is entitled to opinion and it varies from author to author. Not long ago I think another website ranked business managers #1.

It's not that surprising really, by any objective measure medicine is probably the least rewarding career :S

These guides are stupid. If you want to be a bricklayer, you will be content with being a bricklayer.
If you want to be a lawyer and you study medicine, you will be envious of the brick layer. Follow your heart, and that is the best job for you!

(that's a subjective measure)

Medicine is brutal for a long time. A week of night shifts, 80+ hour weeks etc., so I'm not at all surprised it's come up short when compared to other jobs.

When they say "mathematician", do they mean uni lecturers, professors, or mathematicians working in the business/finance sector?  Or have I missed the whole point altogether?
