Specialist Maths v Uni Extension Programs ?

I'm doing Methods 3/4 in year 11, but is it better to do Specialist with it or just do University Maths instead? I don't know if I'll personally like specialist, and I also don't need it for my course either. Although, I've been told that it's probably best to take Specialist Maths with physics. Is it still possible to achieve a 40+ study score in Physics without specialist maths because I've been considering the Extension Program over it? :)

I'm pretty sure you need to have done spec or doing spec maths at the same time if you are doing extension maths. Also i don't think anyone needs spec maths as a prerequisite for an university course.

True, but some university engineering courses offer bonus points if specialist math has been completed

Tbh, it's a bit of a moot point - they won't let you take uni extension maths unless you've done specialist.
