Specialist Maths v Uni Extension Programs ?

I'm doing Methods 3/4 in year 11, but is it better to do Specialist with it or just do University Maths instead? I don't know if I'll personally like specialist, and I also don't need it for my course either. Although, I've been told that it's probably best to take Specialist Maths with physics. Is it still possible to achieve a 40+ study score in Physics without specialist maths because I've been considering the Extension Program over it?

I'm pretty sure you need to have done spec or doing spec maths at the same time if you are doing extension maths. Also i don't think anyone needs spec maths as a prerequisite for an university course.

True, but some university engineering courses offer bonus points if specialist math has been completed

Tbh, it's a bit of a moot point - they won't let you take uni extension maths unless you've done specialist.
