english exam is an absolute joke. no reflection of english ability whatsoever

to make you feel even better. I full on studied english throughout whole year, wrote over 50 essays

so did i.... its incredibly frustrating to work so hard and have high hopes and get very little out of it

but i suppose if we did no work at all, it could have been a lot worse.

i know.... but it really annoys me how many people cheat. For instance, there was this one kid who always got prompt for SAC before we had to do it in class resulting him getting excellent results. Then come practise exam he gets 48% while i get 72%. For the VCAA exam he put essays in his dictionary.... felt like dobbing him in but since his a friend, i chose not to

And now his undeserving results will be a stain on your guilty conscience

I guess it's harder when it comes to a friend. But what is right is right, so i guess it would have been better off strongly advising him not too-And remember, part of you being a true friend is by helping your friends what's right, regardless if they are going to get angry/hate you

Cheating won't help him succeed. It will actually fail him.

Done, dusted.
No point stressing about it now, no matter how bad it was f**ked up.
If you do, you'll just end up performing worse in your other exams.

Heck, I felt I did ok today.
But I'm not letting that get to me, because I have Spec tomorrow, and I need to have a clear head, not a confident one.

Anyways, you got to the exam and you did it. That's what matters.

He made up his mind that he would cheat, knowing if he did he could get A+. plus our teachers told us the LBW prompt and conflict prompt yesterday. I dont know how she knew it but it was identical

so what, does he get somebody else to write up a top essay and memorise that, or does he write it on his own? because if you say he fails and get's like 50% then wouldn't that mean his standard in english is low; so writing up an essay/cheat anyway will not really suffice him as he would be getting low marks anyway?

Now, when someone's doing something wrong - especially your friend - do you just turn a blind eye? No. You set the record straight - this builds up trust more than anything.

Chavi you're being entirely unfair and a bit mean. This guy wasn't bragging about his friend cheating, he was in fact writing about the injustice of it.

It's easy for you to sit back and say what the right thing to do is. The fact of the matter is that 7132 was placed in a morally challenging situation where there really is no right answer. He wasn't the one breaking the rules. He was placed in that situation by somebody breaking the rules who was his good friend. Now, who wants to risk losing a good friendship? Honestly?

I don't think you can fault the guy for being caught between a rock and a hard place and making the decision he made. The objective "correct" thing to do would be to dob him in, but not doing the 'correct' thing does not make 7132 the pariah you're making him out to be in the slightest. Have some compassion.

not to be mean or anything but dude clearly u must not have many friends. Even though it annoys me that people cheat, I would never dob someone in, its just wrong. I remember my teacher once told me he was at a checkout and person in front of him stole a bucketload of goods which was hidden under trolley(they had a pram on top of trolley so you couldnt tell) Even though it was ethically wrong, he chose not to do anything because he felt he would be a rat in doing so

i think of it like this: a cheating person getting an advantage is just like having another really smart kid in the class  
doesnt really bother me one bit(cant say the same for most other ppl).
