So is it definitely possible to make it through a whole semester attending a  lecture stream that you aren't enrolled in?

Also, should I still register for the available lecture stream even though there is a clash? Or will the timetable not permit this?

Definitely, I found that as the semester went on, less and less students would come to lectures. I would register for classes just so that your timetable has all your classes in it. The timetable will allow this, It just makes the column wider for the day(s) that you have clashes and the classes sit side by side.

Have you checked your student email? I'm a host and we were only given the phone numbers that students provided to the uni and your student emails. What faculty are you a part of?

My student host contacted me via uni email almost a week ago and by text 2 days ago. I'd make sure you've checked your uni email and haven't missed it (the subject of the email was "Summerfest Host Program" for me) and if they don't get in touch just come along anyway on Tuesday 21st 12:30 near the Sidney Myer Asia centre and join a group I'm sure they'd be happy to have an extra person!

I am a host for the o week tours and the coordinators emailed me letting me know they were having difficulties so I don't have my list of students yet. When I did my host program I was only contacted the day before as well. Hopefully you will hear from your host tomorrow.

Usually in the first few weeks of semester one, but it may differ between subjects - I'm just going off what my Linear Algebra lecturer said.

i think it depends...mine's this thursday for one of my subjects, have to wait on a date for the other subject but it'd be after thursday i presume.

Nah, shouldn't make a considerable difference. You don't need to have done lectures for a topic to understand the physics pracs.
