How well?
Hi Stormbreaker,
I can help you with this have you had a look at VCCA grade distributions?
Just google 'VCCA grade distribution 201x' and you can see what percentage each grade is, GA 3 is the final exam
https://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/statistics/2019/section3/vce_economics_ga19.pdfIn 2019, an A+ for the exam was (89%) or 71.5/80
https://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/statistics/2020/section3/vce_economics_ga20.pdfIn 2020, an A+ for the exam was (91%) or 72.5/80
When you read it you will see that the exam is marked out of 160 not 80, and that is because all exams are marked twice!
For a 40 given you SAC marks, and unknown rank aiming for an A+ in the exam is in your best interest (but maybe a high A can get you in the 40s I'm not completely sure)
All I can say is try to strive for a 90%+ on the exam, this is a difficult task but all you can do is try your best and a reminder that the high 30s is still a great score regardless.
The only way to get to that A+ is to do many practice exams and take the time to read the examiner report to see where you went wrong and HOW to improve on that (specifically any gaps in knowledge or ability to write succinct short answer responses)
