For me, I wanted to be a carpenter,then a marine biologist, then a professional cricketer, then an architect, then a tattoo artist, then a graphic designer, then a teacher, then an academic.

Mine is a lot more boring -- always wanted to be in medicine, although sometimes as a practicising doctor, sometimes as a researcher. I've decided to try and do a med degree and take it from there!
The context is more interesting though. I was born 4 months premature (3 months and 29 days, close enough), so I was in hospital a lot as a kid. Like all kids, I was very curious, and asked constant questions about what they were doing ("what is blood used for?", "what's an MRI?", "why are the sandwhiches always triangles?") -- the doctors and nurses were always happy to oblige, so I suppose my first learning experiences were about medicine, albeit in an extremely simple manner so that a 3 year old count understsand (which I applaud for them finding a way to explain at such a basic level most of the time. Some things I just didn't get

My nurses always encouraged me to keep learning about it and become a doctor. I suppose I have kept that interest all throughout my schooling.
One of my favourite nurses also encouraged me to go to this cafe in Bavaria and try this certain ice-cream dish, which I also plan to do
