Year 10 Work Experience for 2018

Hello,

From the 7th-11th of May next year I will be required to do work experience. I was looking to do something in the field of physics research, however I am unable to find anything. I have taken a look at Melbourne Uni's work experience program, however it is in June. I have emailed them asking if there is anything during May and am waiting for a response. Could anyone please link me to the sites for physics work experience, or pm me contact details for possible people I could speak to? I don't mind if it isn't physics research exactly, that's just my area of interest but I know bio/psych related fields aren't my thing.

Hi. I did the physics work experience program at Melbourne back in 2013. Unfortunately I don't think they will have much flexibility with the dates as it's a pretty structured program. I had an awesome time doing it. If you could get your school to somehow let you change your work experience dates so you could attend, I would definitely recommend it. I'm pretty sure Monash offer work experience in certain departments. Might be a good idea to send an email to the School of Physics and see what they say.

I did my work experience at Monash's biomed department during the term 2 holidays. Many of my friends did maths/astrophysics related work experience at Monash as well during this time period. They usually have a set program as mentioned earlier so it might be difficult trying to get it during that time frame.

Thank you for the responses, I am still waiting on a reply from Melbourne and have contacted Monash, what other possible locations are there?

Many high schools are flexible with their work experience dates. I know I did mine at a competely different time to everyone else, I would recommend speaking to your year level co-ordinator or something and telling them your situation and seeing if they can be flexible
