How did you go about the creative? Did you quote directly or did you just use the essence of the quotations?

Essence. Just used it as a central idea.

The novel extract makes me want to read that novel. A book store called "The Verb To Be" is genius. I LOVE AUXILIARY VERBS. I think I'll read this book!

yess this was my favourite text! i wasnt too keen on the third text though

How much would you be punished for not explicitly mentioning the stimulus in Section 3? Instead making a thesis based on the importance of need, curiosity and wonder in making transformative discoveries and having topic sentences that compare the 3 together and apart?

Lol, I didn't even realise mentioning the stimulus was a thing. In all fairness, my section 3 is very dubious because I took a weird approach and wrote very convolutedly.

My essay was integrated but instead of exploring the notions of discovery amounting from need, wonder or curiosity, I focussed on the transformative part instead as it said "whether" so I believed it meant that the transformative aspect was more "intensely meaningful" ;). I did two solid integrated paragraphs. One on how physical discoveries are transformative and one on how self discoveries are transformative.
I'm hoping for a Band 6, so I hope that sounds ok?
If there is anything that I'm worried will affect my mark, it'll be those ridiculous short answers.

I agree, the comprehension (surprisingly) was the most difficult by far, the essay question was quite simple and my creative more or less fell into place easily

Yeah, heaps of students were pretty unimpressed with the texts. Although Text 2 was wonderful (not so sure in terms of analysis though), the others were quite hard to extract techniques and what not from.

Same boat tbh, I need some reassurance about it! The "whether" threw me off imo. And those short answers!!!

Hey Elyse, I referenced ellipsis a number of times in the unseen texts today but spelled it elipsis haha - would I lose any marks for this at all  :P
