I added some bold/colour to make it a little easier on the eye as well 

Would like to share a story. After a long period of uncertainty, around the Open Day Period in 2014 I was set on Civil Engineering. I went to a lecture on it at UTS, and to be honest, I was bored stiff. I walked out halfway through like a lost puppy, feeling like all my goals were gone. No kidding, the room next door had an Electrical Engineering lecture. "Why not?" I thought.

The rest, as they say, is history 

That said, hit these Open Days up people!! Can make a big difference to your future, one way or another

Yes. Open days are so valuable. Open day was what made me ultimately choose actuarial despite me not liking business too much originally

Definitely!! And chat with students, my girlfriends sister went into an Open Day wanting to be a teacher, chatted with a student for an hour, and came out wanting to be a Psychologist (and is now doing her Masters)  a student perspective on your degree of choice will give you some awesome insight and may make you think of something you have never thought of before

I know at UNSW you can plan your open day - you can make a schedule of which lectures you want to attend and what not.

For the most part, open day is about two things.

1. Attend some lectures that you believe will genuinely help you. Roughly 4 at most per student.

2. Have fun. Open day is one of the most extravagant days at uni ever. Once you're enrolled, you'll see fanciness in O-week but that's about it.

The Australian Film, Television and Radio School also has an open day. In 2016, it's Saturday September 10. If you can't make it to the actual event, you can go there virtually... they are streaming the vent live for those people not near Sydney.
