Which UMAT score do they take?

I heard that the UMAT lasts for 2 years. So, let's say if someone wanted to do medicine, did incredibly well in UMAT and interviews however just missed out on a place with an alright ATAR score. And say, you wanna try your chances again the following year for medicine, would you need to do the UMAT again? If you did better on the first year would they look at your performance on the second? Since that someone also didn't do excellent, I'd assume they'd be repeating a few subjects for year 12 on the second year too.

I also heard that the VCE ATAR score lasts for three years. So, if you you've done VCE for three years (i.e. year 12 for three years), would your study scores from previous years be erased if you chose to undertake it for a forth year. This is all a hypothetical situation, has anyone even ever done year 12 four times? I'm just curious.
