It depends on what you want really. Personally I like mine spread out, having a day off doesn't really fancy me, considering it's really wasted time whilst all my friends are at uni anyways! So might as well spread it out and make myself comfy, I would hate long days! :P

hmm well its either the long gaps or having it straight after
which one is better?
is it hard having classes straight after one another?

I used to think that having gaps were beneficial for my studies, but after just one semester, I tried to pack every class straight one after another. The reason being is that we have ample time to travel in between lectures, and that I rather start/end my day late/early which allows me to do other things without the thought of (I need to go to this lecture in 2 hrs time.... hurr derrp ceeebbss) but that's just me =P

nope...
i think i read in another thread that lectures etc start 5 mins after the starting time - giving you enough time to get there.

This is correct. So, chemistry will go from 11:05-11:55. The next lecture, biology would go from 12:05-12:55. 10 minute gap, its enough time to get there. Even if you're maybe one or two minutes late you wont miss much and they dont usually care.

The change in the ENG1091 support class is a good choice, but the change in ENG1060 from thursday to monday might be otherwise. The reason being is that for all the ENG1060 labs, they will release the set of problems to be done in the upcoming labs. Many of the better students will prefer to attempt, or even complete all the set questions prior to entering the ENG1060 labs. So, there are times where the lecturer forgets to upload the lab sheet and only do so on the sunday night, leaving you with only one day to complete the problem sheet.

Another thing is for ENG1060, every lab for each week does the same set of problems. So you can sort of ask your course mates for guidance =) Unless you have some experience in coding/ is able to pick it up extremely fast, having the ENG1060 labs on thursday would be advisable even with the long break.

P.S. Is there a ENG 1060 lab on say Wednesday morning? That would be good as you will get Thursday off.

Pretty good, except for the RAGE at Friday afternoon. I know it can't be helped, though.

Yeah, that friday sucks. Hopefully they'll put it up on MULO so I can skip it.

That looks like a reasonable timetable =)  Since ENG1060 is learned best through fiddling with matlab, ENG1091 is just practice and ETC1000 lecutres are online, you're gona have a 3 day week.... lucky bastard =P

P.S. I attached my extremely screwed up timetable....

What you will only understand once you've gotten to university is that you need a lot of spare time to socialise with your friends during your first year, that is if you want to have friends. So the gaps between subjects is infact good cause it somewhat forces you to stay at university and just hang out.

Can anyone give me a small guide on how to use MUTTS and allocate my timetable in general. I have no idea whether I have to do it for all weeks, or just one or what. Any help would be great.
