heyyy i did too! *hi-five* yeah, I don't think there was a 'leader' in my activities at all - everyone just contributed and discussed equally. so.... shrug.

I trust you, you are the best Quinn!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can tell that you'll get in, never met you before but I believe you'll have a bright future(I'm Chinese I can tell one's future with their look 8) 8) ;D) Trust me, my prediction's always correct.

Ah man, I hope we get in :')
Some of us went great and some of us went mehh, but hopefully the 3% rule and whatever we offered during the interviews will be enough. Maybe some people will reject the offer and we'll get an offer.

"Results for Year 10 2018 applications will be available from 9th September.
If you have not received a first round offer, you will be on a waiting list until all places have been filled at the end of October 2017."

Last year, some people got their offers around September 5.

My interviewer only took notes on my awards and extracurricular activities.
(Thanks meena and mi-xao) Have some faith because they will have taken notes after you left. I'm pretty sure you've seen them do this while you waited for your interview.

honestly I don't know how I went, like i think when he asked me to explain an issue I did really well cause I talked about climate change and after he asked me what I would do if I was the minister of environment and I said I would shine more publicity on the issue and educate younger children on what exactly causes it. But I made heaps of mistakes by stuttering and just little hiccups in general ahh I'm freaking out oml

I'm sure he understood that you were nervous. I think that I spoke too fast for my interview :')

If the 3% rule works out, only one person can get in, but there were 4 of us in total who got an interview I'm pretty sure Ahah

the rule is not exceeding 3%, that means if you have 100 students at your year level, you can have 3 get in. If you only 99 students, only 2 can get in.

nice to see you back mewfle. the 3% rule sucks, a lot of good people don't get in because of it. I'm lucky that it doesn't affect me, but it must be tough for you guys!
is anyone on here going to interviews today? I think this is the last week.

Thanks  ;D

The only thing that's keeping my hope alive is that two people got in last year, but there were less than 50 people in the year level
None of them were second round offers either ? I dunno

The 3% rule is a double-edged sword. A lot of good people don't get in, but it also gives a chance to people that love science but their schools aren't specialised in it.
All we can do now is wait.

Are you sure it is 3%,
I remember reading, it is 5% for JMSS and it is 5% of total no of student of year 9 in that school.
Dosent matter if I get in or not ,everyone has to appear for VCE and that score is IMPORTANT .
Failure at this stage will be the motivation for VCE ,, At least, I guess ..
Hope is always there. Be positive. till then Chill.....

it's 5% for the selective schools (melbourne, macrob) and 3% for jm, because it's a smaller intake.
