I'm just interested in science and maths in general, here are the subjects I'm gonna do:
EAL
Chinese SLA
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Method
Specialist Maths
Advanced Maths
Psychology
(Biochemistry at yr 12 if I got into JMSS)
My cousin who went to Mac Rob, who did 8 subjects(I think)and she ended up scoring 99.65.
I passed unit 1 for Chinese already, and I'm planning to pass unit 1&2 for biology and methods next year. My year 11 and 12 life will be hard, yet I'm prepared for it.
No pain no gain.

Woah 9 or 10 subjects. That's going to be massive workload, but glhf man. Nice job on passing Chinese Unit 1.
It's not my place to say this, but I don't think you should accelerate methods next year. You should probably do methods and specialist simultaneously because they compliment each other well, and specialist is apparently like an extension of methods.

When faced with a problem, you either find a way or an excuse.

Thank you for the advise buddy, I'm not sure about that yet, as if I got into JMSS next year I need to do an other exam in order to do methods bext year.(Might not be so lucky next time)

Have confidence in yourself! You tend to doubt yourself a lot. I know you've been through some tough times with your family and English isn't your first language, but you're definitely a smart and passionate person. I believe that you can maintain those qualities no matter what school you go to. If you do end up doing 9 or 10 subjects, I hope you do well and that your cohort doesn't drag your study scores down ahah.

wow, great to see everybody sharing their vce aspirations! 8 subjects is INSANE I didn't even know that was legal, but if you really want it, you can do it.
I'm doing:
bio
psych (hopefully those two in year 11, it'll be a lot of content but I want to smash them out first)
methods
english
literature
chem
Hopefully I won't have to do my second language as well. Respect to those doing Chinese and French! :)

yeeesss, but I'm into more quantum physics, and most of the vce physics curriculum is classical physics (read: electricity, ac adapters, motion). shucks, I wish there were 2 physics subjects - classical and theoretical/quantum.

Just a heads up for you guys, JMSS only allows you to do a maximum of 6 subjects in total. You get to advance one or two in year 11 (3/4 subject) if your averages are good enough. You must do one English, one maths, 2 science and two humanities/lote/computing/pe/music subject...

And also, you can only do a maximum total of 7 subjects for VCE.. Your school won't allow you to do more as it won't fit into the schedule and you'd have no study time at all...

Guys. Don't stress. That's only for Year 10. You don't need to do these subjects in Year 11. (I may be wrong)

For the first activity i managed to get the koala and i contributed sometimes for the 2nd. Wasn't able to get the maths question and for the interview i aced it my interviewer was really impressed.

I think JMSS takes about 200~220students, so we stand a great chance, I performed pretty much the same as you, yet my results at school was not that good. I really hope everyone on this forum gets in(including me) because I know how hard you guys have worked for this. Records to the Enrolment Policy, JMSS will release the outcome on the 08/09(18 days left), and I REALLY LOOK FORWARDS TO IT. Because I waonder how many of us actually passed the interview. But I believe everyone that tried their best will pass the interview and earn themsleves a spot at JMSS.

Where did you hear that from? I'm pretty certain it's about 550 who get interviews.
