Residential College Interviews

Hey guys,

I have my interview at one of UoM's Residential Colleges in a few weeks and am quite unsure of what to expect.
Have any of you had college interviews (at any university) before?
What sort of questions do they ask?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Colleges want you to be social, energetic and studious, without being a troublemaker. Just show that's what you are and you'll be fine.

I had one during the sept holidays and it's pretty basic. They just try to gauge what you can bring to the college and what you want to get out of it, ie strengths, weaknesses, areas you want to be involved in, why you chose that college over another.

I had one as well, it was pretty straightforward, just make sure you're relaxed and speak clearly. There were a few obvious questions, so think about what they might ask you beforehand, but don't make it sound robotic and rehearsed.

Just remember that you're trying to convince them to take you over a lot of other students!

So has anyone heard from the colleges yet? I got a call from University College the other day, but that was just to make sure I actually got into Melbourne (they said they were only getting the list of offers on Tuesday)

Great to hear Sean, I got my call from UC a couple of hours ago. My parents are pretty psyched :)
