Extrapolating Experiment-based design questions ?

My main weakness in biology is comparing  and contrasting the data .

I find it hard to formulate a hypothesis from the data given and also form conclusions.

The only thing I'm good at is the theory. During a practice sac I recently had i got 11/25 for the summary report of the experiment.

What would be some good pointers are identifying differences, making comparisons and formulating hypothesis from the given data. The teacher expect us to know this already but he has not really taught us how to do so .
