Im finding it alittle hard to figure out if i should chose Maths Methods or Maths General!? I have read a few forums about this topic and its helped me but i don't fully understand the difference between them. I normally get b's to b-'s in maths!

Hello :)

So firstly I believe you are picking units 1/2 maths subjects. You should know that General Maths turns into Further Maths for units 3/4.

The difficulty of the three maths subjects (for most people) with increasing difficulty is the following:
1. Further Maths (General Maths)
2. Maths Methods
3. Specialist Maths

Maths Methods is taken up by quite a few students as it is a prerequisite for a heap of courses. E.g Engineering, Biomed, Commerce, Science etc Further Maths usually taken by students who might not go onto study Mathematics later but still wants to do at least 1 math subject in year 12.

What have you been thinking about doing after year 12?

If you are not sure I think doing Methods 1/2 is ok to keep your options open and if you don't like it you can move down to Further Maths for units 3/4.
