There is honestly nothing more satisfying than buying stationary. It's the only thing I enjoy about 'back-to-school' shopping.
Now brb lemme write down these brands real quick so I can buy them later

Hahaha I second that comment. Especially when one finds bargains in Officeworks,  like a $7 pacer and refill that's  reduced to 50 cents  :')

Back to the main topic, I generally use black Papermate pens for exercise books. Idk the brand if the pen I use for exams though.

I also can't stand using blue pens for essays.

Pls do not send me a pm about Aspire applications. The process has vastly changed since I applied.

For the longest time I'd only write in black pens but for essays and sacs the blue ink is much easier for me to see when I check for mistakes

LOL nah, it was a Papermate 0.7mm Pacer + its refill (which had the lead and rubber things) for 50 cents ;) Best stationary buy ever. It was in September last year though.

Blue ink just seems so bright for me on the page. Well maybe not bright, but it just stands out so much it annoys me to read such a bright colour. I only use it to when I go back and correct the essay, with additional words/sentences etc.

I use the kilometrico inkjoy blue pens! They don't smudge, writing in them for a long time isn't a pain, and they write really well too.

Does the gel on this pen sink through the otherside of the page? The one thing I hate the most about using gel/fine-liner pens is that the gel/ink goes through the back of the paper causing it to look weird when you start writing on that side.

Someone please recommend me some gel/fine-liner pens that doesn't do this.

It does sink through the other side of the page with loose-leaf paper, but if you're writing on like exam paper then no it doesn't.

I generally used four-pens throughout my VCE exams. If I wanted to highlight a part of my piece (eg - terminology in media or writing my "grab" in the 'magazine article' that was my English context piece); I'd write in blue. Other than that, it was in black. Also, the grip seemed to lessen the aches of continuous writing.

I hear http://www.penisland.net is a good place to start. They sell everything from a "long and thin white leather pen" to a "thick dark mahogany pen". You can even get your own custom-made pen!

I use pens that I got from India. They are SOOO cheap (like $1 for a box of 50 pens) and they work so well. They have never failed me and they have they have the thinnest tip. I got my mum to get me two boxes of black and blue pens. I need to buy myself a box of red. I've been using these pens for ~3 years.
