VCE vs Job

I was just wondering if many people doing/done VCE have/had jobs and if so how many hours they work/ed??

I personally work ~15hrs/ week and I was wondering how this compares with others..

yea i worked since yr 10 while doing vce and i am doing 6-12 hrs depend when i get shifts usually bout 7 hrs more on holidays. i have a schedule so i dont get behind on those days i work

I work at Domino's....
I'm about to turn 18 (Tuesday... woohoooo) and the pay rate for 18's is ~$14.50/hr

im in yr 11 currently, working 15 hours a week, have done so since year 8, currently getting $11.50 p/h and i'm 17
defs cutting back next year though, as it takes up both saturday and sunday

I never had a job in high school. If you really want/need the money for some reason, then it's worth looking into, otherwise it's really easy to get work over Christmas, or once you graduate.

Good luck.  You'll need plenty because with the horde of school leavers at the end of November, plus uni students who are looking for jobs, there'll be plenty of competition.

Yeah I would advise all those looking for jobs post school to not muck around and get yourself out there as soon as possible. I got my first job like a few days after coming back from schoolies, and I know many people that left it and then struggled to find one.
