Year 10, SCHS Entrance examination

Hi all, Recently I have started to study for the Suzzane Cory high school entry examination next year. Currently I am in year 8 and I have completed the first entrance exam. With the main entrance exam I achieved a score of all above average, after studying half heartedly for 6 weeks. I was able to apply for principal's discretion and after my interview, was placed on a waiting list.

Firstly, I am wondering if my results regarding the previous interview would impact the probability of being selected to join the school. Secondly, I wish to learn some study tips to gain familiarity with the testing format, and some tips to learn the content of the test. Will the content of this test be different to the previous entry exam, if not what should I look out for?
Also, would I benefit from purchasing a specialised textbook, and prioritizing this over my normal school work?

- Thanks, I hope you can answer my question.

Heya bud, me like you tried in the year 9 entry and didn’t not get into a school but like you tried yewr 10 entry and got into a selective school . We seem to have a similar path as I also got a pd interview and didn’t make it to MHS last year. However I think year 10 is a seperate entry and the interview that you undertook this  year does not affect what you do next year. Ps. ( I think year 10 entry into suzanne is pretty easy) around 25 spots and 60 apply or something like that.
