I don't mind blood. I don't mind broken bones. I don't mind watching a needle go in.

But I absolutely hate watching someone vomit.

So, I'm going to be joining the glasses fam in a few days...for those with glasses, what problems should I be aware of and what things should I avoid?

Try to avoid touching the lenses- after a while, they're a pain in the ass to clean. Additionally, don't put them without a case in your pocket- 9/10 times they'll break (from personal experience lol).

Also avoid wearing them in the rain- especially after you clean them. Some lenses get water spots and are also a pain to remove :)

I just saw two ducks fly low across a road. One was hit by a car and killed. Feathers everywhere (I was like ten metres away at the time). Partner duck sat at the side of the road and watched for ~20 seconds before turning and waddling away.

It was genuinely awful.

^ insanipi is 100% correct :D
- Bring the cloth that they give you everywhere (but don't lose it)! It's v. effective (t-shirts/other materials don't work as well)
- Remember to take off your glasses before you sleep (I broke a pair this way :P)
- When you receive your new specs, make sure it's not too tight/too loose

You'll be dizzy for a few days but you'll get used to it :) Welcome to the #glassesfam! ;)
Life is weird and crazy as heck but what can you do?

Jess is also 100% right :)

Forgot to add, always take your case- you never know when the scres in your glasses will become loose, or the lenses pop out. :)

 Slight tangent/

I really dislike how callously it seems that humans create geographical isolation. We change the balance of things to make our lives more convenient and the damage can be irreparable.

Things like the fact that a road got put through the Amazon irritate me a lot.

And especially take your case to the beach - when stuffed in a pocket somewhere, as sand seems to get in a scratch them really easily

Thanks guys! Much appreciated :)
Looking forward to being able to see properly but the downside is I now have an extra thing to forget or lose...

easier said than done:
don't break them
don't lose them
wash them
always place them down lens facing up

also screws getting loose and lens popping out has happened to me before :P
