Wow....is VCE Chemistry that hard...might be an irrelevant question to this topic and/or quite subjective, but how hard is it from a scale of one to ten to score >35 Raw?

Physics isn't that hard once you get the concepts, but 3/4 is so irrelevant to my interests. Even more electricity/motion? Yeah, no thanks.
Chemistry is interesting but also the most challenging. Even when I think I understand everything I'll struggle with making sense of the questions.
Since I do maths every year I don't really think of Methods as hard/easy because it builds on to previous knowledge. Like English, it's just a ~default subject that I have to do.

Like you said, very subjective, you probably won't get a meaningful answer.

I think circuitry and photonics shouldn't even be in the curriculum.

Methods makes me a sad panda, its like another language to me. Chemistry and the other sciences make a lot more sense to me however.

Chem isn't hard, relative to physics and methods the concepts are pretty simple.

From my standpoint, Methods is the easiest. And so far, I am finding Physics harder than Chem.
2009
~ Methods (Non-CAS) [48 --> 49.4]

2010
~ Spesh [50 --> 51.6]
~ Physics [50 --> 50]
~ Chem [43 --> 46.5]
~ English [46 --> 46.2]
~ UMEP Maths [5.0]

2010 ATAR: 99.90
Aggregate 206.8

methods and chem are awesome.  i am dreading physics so bad.  it looks so damn boring.  i haven't even started it yet.  :(
why did I not find out about umep/muep chem until it was too late!

what are peoples opinions on spesh vs physics?

there is this little voice in the back of my head telling me to change?

for a good maths student, which is easier?

any advice?  I did well in physics in year 11, and I find some aspects interesting but from what i've seen from the course this year, it looks rather boring.

That having been said, I also aced year 11 methods.  I am so stuck.  what should I do?
and yeah, i am kinda wondering whether or not i should do spesh for the scaling, plus i am a pretty capable at maths student.  on the other hand, i will only have two out of my 3 maths in the top four....

any advice would be much appreciated.  ideally i wish i could have done methods in year 11, then spesh in year 12, but thanks to coordinators, i was never going to get my way.

Well there's no maths involved in VCE physics (when I say no maths I mean no real maths heh)

As a maths fanatic I am obviously biased and I'd say pick spesh, but seriously if you enjoy having a good challenge, fun questions, new concepts/ideas, a new view on mathematics then definitely pick spesh over physics.

PS: spesh scaling is pretty shit nowadays, what like only 6 this year... compared with 12 with previous years
