The prize was a monash book(a nice big, glossy one), a monash USB (again a nice shiny one - 4GB) and a $250 cheque. Oh, and of course a framed certificate, saying "highest achiever - Mathematics" bla bla...

This year there was one for "Mathematics" and one for "Mathematics Off Campus".

Fit us up with advertising is what they did... People see you with Monash stuff, kids who think you're really smart do too. So they get tricked into thinking that Monash is the place for smart kids.. Smart marketing..
