Been seriously worried about methods lately so am just a bit curious.
- SAC average - 81%, rank about 6-7 with a cohort of strong top ten, the rest is average to weak.
- Ex 1 - 29/40 - around 70%
- Ex 2 - 65/80 - around 80%
Is it enough to get a 35??
Yep. Your sacs would have to scale down drastically (like, to a D) for you to get below 35 with that. You're probably around the 37/38 mark.
I could probably predict my own score but i would like a secondary input
For methods:
SACS: 70% average cohort
Exam 1: 33/40
Exam 2: 66/80
For Specialist:
SACS: 55% not sure what cohort is, sac average around 55%
Exam 1: 30/40
Exam 2: 60/80
For physics:
SACS: 80% average cohort
Exam: 90/130
Be critical with the predictions rather than be generous
For all of these I've calculated it both just using exam marks, and using exam marks and raw sac marks. As long as your sac either remain where they are or scale up no further than equivalent to your exam percentile, they should be relatively accurate (although changes to the grade distribution will affect them regardless). If your sacs scale down or scale up above your exams then these will be off a little.
Methods: 36-38
Specialist: 33-35
Physics: 33-35
Can someone predict study score:
Cohort (Moderate)
Rank around 4
51% Unit 3 (I dint get this but this is the practice exam result for the person ranked above me)
61 Unit 4
92% Exam
Is it a raw 40?
Sorry that was for chem
Just off your exam, around a 42. If I include your raw sac marks, it drops down to around 34, but I would just ignore that - either your sacs are going to scale up or your exam prediction is wrong. To get a 40, your sacs would need to scale up to around a mid to high A.
Methods predict study score
SAcS:55%
Exam one: 45%
Exam two: 25%
Rank four in a moderate cohort
Mid 20s.
Does that mean a 25 or more?
No it doesn't. You could get a 25+ but it will depend on changes to the grade distribution and how sacs scale. When I work it out using percentage per ss and weight it for each section, you're in the top 77% of students - and the top 78% will get a 25+. You're likely a little higher than 77% because you weren't at the bottom of each grade bracket I used to calculate that, which means you have a good chance of getting a 25, but your sacs scaling down or changes to the grade distribution may prevent that.
For physics (Strong cohort- person ranked above me averaged 99%)
Unit 3- 85% (Rank 3)
Unit 4- 90% (Rank 2)
Exam- 92%
Will that be enough for a 44? Or do I need to increase my projected score in the exam?
No, that's in the 39-42 area.
