What trig identities do we need to know for math methods? Would any answer be wrong if we do not simplify using trig identities in methods?

hey there, you don't need to know the spesh trig identities they're not in the methods course, but they are certainly nice to know~

u wont be penalised if your final answer is right, but if a question asks you to have the answer in a certain form and a trig identity can help you simplify to that form then yes you would be penalised if your answer is not in that form.

ya only the cos^2+sin^2=1 and your reciprocal ones (those are not really identities lol just definitions :P)

the rest are not in the study design, but my school did have sacs which required other identities, up to you if you want to learn them or not. :D
