I'm not saying it is impossible, but you are going to struggle to get all of first year Chem/Bio which are needed for second year Anatomy/Physiology/Biochemistry prereqs in purely as breadth at Melbourne.

That's what I was thinking, because I thought that you get 4 subjects, 3 core and 1 breadth, but I was thinking there's no way you could fit everything in :S
But on the other hand, is it possible to take more subjects than required, say taking 5 subjects instead of 4?

AFAIK, it would take 7 subjects as breadth (Chem 1+ 2, Bio 1 + 2, then the 3 prereqs).  You only get a maximum of 6.

There is probably provisions to take extra subjects if you want to or need them as prereqs.  Russ would know.  :)

If you do well in Chem in year 12, apparently you can go straight to Chem 2?

Or does that only happen with Maths?

Don't think this is true.  What I do know though is if you never did year 12 Chem and do well in Fundamentals of Chemistry in Semester 1, they will let you advance straight to Chem 2 in Semester 2 without having done Chem 1.

VCE Chem isn't really related to what you do in uni chem...

Haha, I guess this is one of the moments where doing UMEP/MUEP Chem might actually come in handy! :P
