Experience with DECV doing ITSD

my experience so far, course works relatively easy i already had a strong programming background in other languages so picking up PHP was a breeze and all the theory seems strait foward , the Sacs there pretty easy in terms of difficulty

how'd you go on the first sac and are you concerned that out of a 70 person DECV cohort only one person got a score of 40 last year?

In my experience (not with DECV) the exam does play a huge role in your ITSD mark. In such a small state cohort, with even fewer people taking the subject seriously, scores are super sensitive to how much effort a student puts in.

Because the exam is so important because of the role it plays on scaling you really need to be near the top of your cohort in SAC rankings (which requires good programming skills) AND perform well on the exam (which requires mastery of the boring theory stuff and how to write the answers they want in exams) to end up with a good score. The good news is that if you do this then it really doesn't matter how the rest of your cohort performs, you can control your own result.

Good question, my revision/learning mainly consisted of making notes according to each of the dot points in the study design (to make sure i wasn't missing anything and was getting used to the terminology they use).

Resources included VCEIT.com and wikipedia etc

Making notes was like 'oh now I have to organise this material in a logical and ordered way' and the task of doing that helped me to remember it and piece it all together.

I guess I kind of found it to waffle on a lot without really saying much, it wasn't very definitive as far as I remember. VCEIT was the same in some places but was more useful to me overall, and good old google searching worked a charm too.
