Hey pikachu! Wow, seriously awesome results my friend, absolutely killing it  8)

I mean, if your results hold strong and match the trend you'll get 99+ without a doubt, provided your English mark is reasonably strong. Straight 96's would almost definitely get you a 99.95, so basically, how close you get to 99.95 will pretty much depend on how well your MX1 mark can cancel out your English mark.

I reckon right now you'd probably be looking at like 99.0-ish assuming a Band 5 mark for English - If you can push English up and get even a low Band 6, you'd be up into the 99.8's and 99.9's I'd say ;D

Take with a grain of salt, obviously :)

Hi, these are the new ranks:

School rank: 50-60 usually

Biology: 1/49 (last year 7 band 6's, usually ranges from 2-7, highest b6 last year was 96, usually 92-95)
Physics: 1/~20 (last year 6 band 6's, usually ranges from 5-7, highest b6 last year was 94, usually 94-96)
3U Maths: 2/~17 (last year all but 3-5 people got one, highest b6 last year was 99 then a few 98s but the 99 was by second place)
4U Maths: 1/5 (last year 5-6/7 got it, highest b6 last year was 94, usually 94+)
English Advanced: 13/34 (last year 12 band 6's, usually 10-15 b6's, last year 12 b6's and the rest band 5's but someone ranked 17th got a band 6)

Half yearly and Trial 1 marks from last 2 terms:
Biology: HY 89/100 (1st), Trial 1 77/100 (really harsh marker, highest was 79 last year and he got 96 in HSC)
Physics: HY 88/100 (2nd by 2 marks), Trial 1 86/100 (2nd by 1 mark) (another relatively harsh marker especially on calculations)
3U Maths: HY 69/70 (1st), Trial 1 46/70 (3rd highest) (insanely hard exam mostly copy pasted from BOS trials, highest 57 then 47 then me)
4U Maths: HY 85/100 (1st but didn't study much), Trial 1 47/100 (2nd highest after 51) (another insane exam mostly copy pasted from BOS trials and NEAP, didn't study much)
English Advanced: HY 17/30 (highest 25, memorised essays here didn't go well), Trial 1 87/105 (5th highest, memorised quotes only, climbed 12 ranks)

Thanks for any estimates!

Hey! Killer marks my friend - If everything stays on track for you and you can work hard to make sure you get a Band 6 in Advanced (that will be what pulls you down, if you don't) then you are easily looking at high 99's ;D

School rank: 50-60 usually

Biology: 1/49 but potentially second since I stuffed CSSA, one trial left (last year 7 band 6's, usually ranges from 2-7, highest b6 last year was 96, usually 92-95)
Physics: 1/~20 (last year 6 band 6's, usually ranges from 5-7, highest b6 last year was 94, usually 94-96)
3U Maths: 1/~17 moved up to 1st but only by 1 mark, one trial to go (last year all but 3-5 people got one, highest b6 last year was 99 then a few 98s but the 99 was by second place)
4U Maths: 1/5 (last year 5-6/7 got it, highest b6 last year was 94, usually 94+)
English Advanced: 13/34 but so far on 63/70 for the sections of CSSA we got back, currently the highest, so probably assume rank 6-9 (last year 12 band 6's, usually 10-15 b6's, last year 12 b6's and the rest band 5's but someone ranked 17th got a band 6)

Thanks for any estimates!

Definitely on track for your goal of 99.5, around 99.8 I would say if your final scores are similar to previous years.

Yeah I agree, still on track for a 99+ ATAR I'd say :)

Don't put much energy into estimating to a .1 or .2 or .5 accuracy, like you just don't know. Time spent hyper analysing could have been spent doing a 4U paper, that's what I always say - You are going to do well! Be confident ;D

True that, thanks for the estimates. Been bludging a bit too much because we've got 3 trials so I can't be studying everyday it's too tiring haha

Feels 🏼 try not to let your rest time be taken up with HSC stuff my friend! I did the same as you and it ended up being just another source of stress!
