What do you guys think?
It's quite hard to compare because of cohort sizes, competitiveness and their strengths. Honestly, it's hard to get a 50 in anything, no matter what the subject is. You also got to take into consideration how some subjects do tend to scale past a 50, like Specialist Maths, however, its also equally as hard to get a 50 in a subject like Further Maths. The study scores are pretty much based on bell-curves, with only a small number being able to achieve a 50. For example, less than 1% of the people doing a specific 3/4 subject will get a 45+, and that's just based on cohort sizes and percentiles. Some subjects such as Biology have massive cohorts whereas Physics is significantly smaller, therefore you can sort of say that there will be less scores above 40+ in Physics than in Biology because of the sizes. Scaling is also there to make all VCE subjects equal, so ideally, all subjects are moderated to be fair with other subjects (like difficulty, workload etc).
The 'easier' subject to get a 50 in would be the subject that
you are passionate about and are willing to put the effort in to gain rewards later
. Do a subject where you believe you would do best in!
