I’m currently in year 10, doing Methods 1&2 however I just informed that some year 9’s are ALSO doing Methods and are sitting the exam with me?? Is this even possible? At my school we usually have an accelerated program catering about 60 students to study a YEAR higher, but never have I heard of year 9’s learning Methods. That’s two years above! Do any other schools also have this?

I know a few schools (mainly private) that offer methods to year 9s so it's certainly possible.

I actually know someone who was in year 8 doing method 1/2
There's no rule against it, I assume its possible.
Best of luck with your studies, doing methods 1/2 in year 10 is impressive as well.

Thank you! I also knew a year 8 who did methods 1&2 last year. I’m assuming they’re completing 3&4 in year 9, amazing really. I’m pretty sure they also did something along the lines of physics in year 8 as well *mind blown*

It's not common but also not unheard of. I did my first 1/2 subject in year 9. So did my brothers.

There was someone who did unit 3/4 specialist maths in year 8 a few years ago... and got a 50.
